– Hand should be reaching high inside your partner/opponent’s thigh. This allows you to establish some control before getting your head on the inside and changing angles.
– Outside hand comes up to waist and the ear should be in their hip. This helps me evade getting choked and keeps my head in a strong position to drive. This also makes it hard for my partner/opponent to stuff my head, because my neck is also in a strong position.
– The front hand grip changes from one leg to the other with the opposite grip. This allows us to drive through his far hip and use an outside trip to keep him from stepping back.
