men are allowed to be so mediocre it’s insulting on the deepest level

Mediocre men get to make mediocre movies and write mediocre books about other mediocre men, but if a woman steps outside a door in a sweater and some plain jeans, she “let her self go”, “isnt even trying anymore!”
if a man creates something mediocre it’s just “a bad book” or “a bad movie”.. if a man is a bad leader he’s just, well, “a bad leader”
if a woman creates something mediocre, or if a woman’s a bad leader it becomes about how “all women are bad at _____,” or about how “no woman is a natural leader”
and that’s a really disheartening fact to all women. men are always allowed to be a work in progress. women always have to be the flawless finished product.

Reading this as a fighter, from the Martial Culture, I see things a bit differently.
Fighting produces and nurtures Manliness.
Manliness includes fight skills, a trained and conditioned body, and most importantly the Moral Virtues of Humility, Integrity, Selflessness, Self Control and always showing Respect.
Another word for Manliness, or Manly Excellence, is the ancient Greek word
Areté.
We fighters constantly seek
Areté.
We can never be “too excellent”!
Unfortunately the Consumer Culture, the dominant culture that we live in, sees no value in Manly excellence that is earned. Instead, Manliness is “bought” by buying the right clothes, expensive car, big house, important job, sexy partner, even drugs to build a big muscular body.
It’s all about appearance, and always about how much money you have or look like you have.
It’s time for Men to start earning their Manliness, be proud of their Manly Excellence and take responsibility for their Manhood.
