Wow, what a great question! Fighting produces and nurtures Manliness. The attributes of Manliness includes fight skills, a trained and conditioned body and most importantly the Moral Virtues of Humility, Integrity, Selflessness, Self Control and always showing Respect. As fighters grow in Manliness their love of Manliness, the love of all the attributes mentioned above, grows as well. This love of Manliness is called Eros. The love of Manliness is very, very powerful. The more Manliness you have, the more Eros you have! Fighters are in full possession of their Manliness, which means they will never lose it. Manliness is eternal, coming from the Creator, who is Divine. So Eros is divine in nature. All fighters seek more Manliness because they love it so much. Eros drives them to constantly fight, seeking still more Manliness. All this is pretty heady, I know, but this is where Eros, the love of fighting, comes from. A great question, for sure!
