dohterscharity:

big thanks to @warriormale and the other warrior blogs on tumblr.

I started boxing classes at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately as the year progressed I was much too sick much too often to continue, but I’m still working on improving my diet bit by bit.

It turns out that I may have never recovered from the mono I contracted last november, which certainly explains my poor health the past year, and also sets my workout plans back another month or two probably- I need to rest, and working out will at first lower your immune system. I need to be healthy before i can start.

But the positivity and kindness of these blogs has encouraged me to not give up just because I have to wait, and i’ve managed to cut back on some soda and a LOT of bread that I would otherwise feast on because of depression related craivings. I’m eating more vegetables and eating more regularly. While it isn’t much, it’s a start. Just because  I can’t be active doesn’t mean I have to stagnate or go backwards. There’s always something you can do, a little at a time, to improve. That’s what training and fighting is about. Not just intensity, but perseverance in the face of difficulty.

So thanks for the positivity, and as much as you don’t know you’ve given it, the encouragement. As weird or strange as the posts may seem for some, they’re a big help to me. Please don’t stop what you’re doing.

Thank you so much for the kind words and the show of Respect.

With training, consistency is very important.

Clearly you understand that.

In spite of all your hurdles, you continue to fight, as a Warrior!

I’m so damn proud of you!

Train and fight!

Always seek Manliness!

I would like to thank @warriormale @imfemalewarrior and @thenonbinarywarrior for putting so much work out positivity on my dash everyday without all the bullshit that usually comes with most work out social medias these days.

I’m a transmasc demiboy and warriormale is why I started getting into working out to fight dysphoria and so far I lost 20 pounds with a personal trainer and keto diet. Not on keto anymore but still working out. I do resistance training twice a week with trainer with cardio once a week on my own.

I’m really glad that the positivity is working and reaching so many people! Exercise should be a tool to help you be the healthiest version of you, not a weapon to force yourself to fit into Consumer Culture.

Yes, social media has its good and bad points for sure.

I’m just so happy to hear that my blog helped you to come up with a plan to get into better shape!

Train and fight!

Nude
images of male athletes, gods and fighters could be found everywhere in ancient
Greece.

Everywhere!

These
images were displayed wherever people gathered, to serve as symbols of Areté or
Manly excellence – to remind the ancient Greeks just how much they valued and
cherished Areté.

These
male nude images were symbols of Righteousness, that when a Man had Areté, that
he was in total possession of his Manhood.

A Man
with Areté had the ability and willingness to fight. He possessed all the Moral
Virtues that make Men good, such as Humility, Integrity, Selflessness, Self
Control and showing the proper Respect for people, places and things.

Areté
was very important to the ancient Greeks.

Areté is very important to us as well.

Train and fight!

Always seek and cherish Manliness!
