The ancient meaning for Eros is passionate physical love.
I have taken that ancient meaning and updated it since there is no word in English for the love of Manliness.
My changed meaning for Eros, the love of Manliness, is the love of fight skills, the love of a trained and conditioned body and most importantly the love of the Moral Virtues of Humility, Integrity, Selflessness, Self Control and always showing Respect.
Language changes over time to meet the needs of the time. This is what happened here.
This site celebrates the Manly Warrior Male, in the ancient Greek tradition. We are Men who train and fight daily. We can be found in all walks of life. Just like the ancient Greek palaistra, we train in the fight gyms, working on perfecting our technique depending on the fight tradition chosen, and there are many worldwide. Some of us, imitating the Greek tradition, also fight each other nude. We have a strict moral warrior code, with Humility, Integrity, Selflessness, Self Control and always showing Respect in high regard.
